OCP is an intergenerational partnership committed to providing opportunities to live safe, healthy, and balanced lives.

OCP is a community coalition serving the towns of Barnard, Bridgewater, Killington, Pomfret, Reading and Woodstock which focuses on positive youth asset development, parent outreach, and alcohol, tobacco, and other drug prevention initiatives.

OCP’s Activities Include:

Coordinates the Shining Light Mentoring Program, a school based mentoring program for Woodstock Union Middle School and High School youth;
• Educates children, parents, adults, and elders on the hazards of tobacco use and second-hand smoke, underage drinking, and alcohol and drug abuse;
• Conducts parenting classes and provides parenting information for parents of children ages 6 – 14.
• Supports the Spectrum and Killington Teen Centers to provide community-based leadership opportunities for youth and to engage youth in positive, fun, and drug-free activities;
• Collaborates with community and state organizations to develop health programs across the lifespan of all community members.
• Partners with the schools of the Windsor Central Supervisory Union and community members to develop initiatives on issues such as restorative justice, healthy nutrition, bullying, physical activity, and other health education topics.

OCP meets monthly from September-June at the Woodstock Union High School Library. All are welcome to attend!!
