EARLY CARE ADVOCATE (Trinity Children’s Center – Burlington)

Provide developmentally appropriate environment and experiences for preschool children in a Head Start classroom, and monthly home visits for families.  Assist families in accessing medical and dental care for preschool children.  Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related education field, VT educator’s license preferred, classroom experience, and experience in curriculum planning and implementation, child outcome assessment, and working with children with special needs.  40 hours/week, 52 weeks/year. Starting wage: $13.06–14.79/hour.  Health plan and excellent benefits.

 

Successful applicants must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; skills in documentation and record-keeping; proficiency in MS Word, e-mail and internet; exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.  Must be energetic, positive, mature, professional, diplomatic, motivated, and have a can-do, extra-mile attitude.  A commitment to social justice and to working with families with limited financial resources is necessary.  Clean driving record and access to reliable transportation required.  Must demonstrate physical ability to carry out required tasks.  Please submit resume and cover letter with three work references via e-mail to: pirish@cvoeo.org
