Grants and Research Manager

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Grants and Research Manager to build on foundation, corporate, and government support for HowardCenter’s critical work in the community.

We’re seeking a professional who knows all aspects of the grants process – including researching and prospecting for new opportunities; developing and writing proposals; maintaining positive and professional relationships with funding officers; and tracking and reporting. Your first assignment will be to take the lead on a complex United Way application this fall.

The successful candidate will be motivated by HowardCenter’s mission and have a bachelor’s degree and five years of grants experience at a non-profit organization; a master’s degree is preferred. S/he will work effectively with colleagues to understand the impact of HowardCenter’s diverse programs and services and to develop compelling cases for support. S/he will be a creative researcher, a collaborative colleague, and a careful and concise writer and editor.
