Chill is in search of a Development Manager. This position works closely with the Executive Director on planning, coordination, implementation, and management of all fundraising activities for the Foundation, marketing and public relations, and communication. In addition, this position will maintain donor files and manage the acknowledgement process.Specific job duties include, but are not limited to the following:
• Work with the Executive Director to set priorities of annual fundraising goals and set long and short range strategies for fundraising
• Work with the Executive Director to determine goals for internal and external event fundraising
• Prepare, edit and/or review all development materials
• Oversee the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the development budget throughout the year
• Develop the systems needed for efficient and effective donor management
• Produce direct mail pieces throughout the year.
• Search for and write grants that are applicable to the program
• Assist in planning and logistics of special events
• Create and update all special event paperwork including agreements, applications and after-event evaluations
• Volunteer management for events
• Develop a communication strategy to ensure increased visibility of Chill
• Manage the development, design and distribution of all printed collateral
• Distribute press releases on events, announcements, and programming information to increase awareness of the Chill program
Qualified candidates will possess the following:
• Bachelor of Arts/Science in a Social Science, Business or Non-Profit Management Program with at least three years of experience in fund development/special events
• Demonstrated oral/written communication and organizational skills
• Working knowledge of non-profit fiscal management, including fund accounting and budgeting
• Demonstrated ability in public speaking, clear and effective written and oral communications, and effective negotiation skills
