ReSOURCE: A Nonprofit Community Enterprise is expanding their operation into Morrisville, Vermont. The ReSOURCE Household Goods and Building Material Store will be moving into United Way’s building at 110 Portland Street in downtown Morrisville, offering a wide selection of quality used household items including furniture, electronics, computers, and kitchenware.
ReSOURCE was established in 1991 in Burlington, and offers multiple programs focusing on environmental services, job skills training, and poverty relief. ReSOURCE currently operates three retail storefronts; ReSOURCE Household Goods Store, located at 266 Pine Street in Burlington; ReSOURCE Building Material Store, located at 339 Pine Street in Burlington; and ReSOURCE Household Goods and Building Material Store, located at 28 Granite Street in Barre.
In addition to the 2,100 square foot retail store, ReSOURCE is offering hands-on job-skills training through their Work Experience Program. The training program will expand in 2013 when ReSOURCE introduces Career Start to the Morrisville operation. Career Start provides customized vocational training to high school students with learning, physical, mental or emotional disabilities. This program introduces students to traditional work settings, expectations and skills they need to successfully complete high school and transition into higher education or the working world. Students attend the Career Start program during their regular school schedule and most earn academic credit.
ReSOURCE Household Goods and Building Material Store will be open Monday – Saturday; 10:00AM – 6:00PM beginning Monday, October 29. At that same time, ReSOURCE will begin accepting donations of clean, reusable household items.
