The Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO) Financial Futures Program assists low-to-moderate income Vermonters in Northwest VT Counties improve their financial understanding and skills in order to support household financial stability and opportunities for building assets.
The Navigator will assist Vermonters – individuals and small businesses – in understanding their health care options, provide them with fair and impartial information regarding plans, and help them apply for plans that best fit their needs. This includes providing assistance in applying for coverage in the range of private plans that will be offered on Vermont Health Connect, as well has public plans such as Medicaid and Dr. Dynasaur.
Successful candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline plus two years of community service experience or combination of education and experience from which comparable skills and knowledge are acquired; excellent organizational, computer, verbal and written communication and people skills; a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation. This 40 hours/week position requires a very self-directed individual with a strong capacity for teamwork. We seek a committed professional who shows a strong interest in and commitment to the overall needs and problems of homeless, low and moderate income individuals and families in the context of CVOEO’s mission.
