Brattleboro Hosts Common Good Vermont at Two Great Events

photo 1photo 5Common Good Vermont’s two-day visit with Brattleboro’s nonprofits was a great success!

Common Good Vermont co-hosted a Let’s Talk Shop Regional Mixer at the newly renovated Latchis Theater in downtown Brattleboro on June 19. In addition to Latchis Arts, this event was co-hosted by the Vermont Arts Council, The Arts Council of Wiindham County, Strolling of the Heifers and the Windham Higher Education Cooperative. Over 40 attendees mingled and chatted while they enjoyed AquaVitea Kombucha, Grafton cheeses, Vermont Common Crackers, Earth Sky Time Community Farm bread and hummus and strawberries from Duttons Farm in Newfane. A productive conversation about the spirit of collaboration amongst area nonprofits rounded out the afternoon.

On June 20, Common Good Vermont co-hosted a Leadership VT luncheon at the Marlboro College Graduate Center, also in downtown Brattleboro. Well attended, this networking event was an informative and effective brainstorming session about how best to advance a leadership “watershed” conversation in our great State. It was facilitated by the wonderful team at Marlboro’s MBA in Managing for Sustainability.

Thanks to all who attended! Next on our regional tour is a Leadership Lunch on October 1 at Karme Choling in Barnet and a Let’s Talk Shop! mixer, co-hosted with the Vermont Natural Resources Council on October 8 in Montpelier.
