We Need Your Data!

Working with our partners in Maine and New Hampshire, Common Good Vermont is working to provide reliable, objective salary and benefit data that you can use to set appropriate pay and benefits for your staff, and help us to demonstrate the value of the nonprofit sector in Vermont.

For the second time, Common Good Vermont joins forces with the New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits and the Maine Association of Nonprofits to conduct the 2016 Wage & Benefit Survey. Your participation with this survey is a vital contribution to tell the story of Vermont’s nonprofit workforce. Simply select a point person from your organization and start the survey here.

Be Counted! In order for us to produce a quality report for the Vermont nonprofit sector, we need your participation! All Vermont nonprofits are encouraged to participate, including 501(c)(3), (4), (5), or (6). The 2016 Nonprofit Wage & Benefit Survey Report will be published in Fall 2016–the report will be free for any participating organization. If you are from an all-volunteer organization or you have no employees to match one of the 30 job categories, you can still participate by completing the first section of the survey. You will get credit for completing the survey and will receive a the final report at NO COST.

Why Do a Wage & Benefit Survey?

Working with our partners in Maine and New Hampshire, Common Good Vermont aims to provide reliable, objective salary and benefit data that nonprofits can use to set appropriate pay and benefits for executives, staff members and new hires.Having a reliable source of data on which to base your decisions shows excellent governance. Plus, IRS regulations requires that nonprofit boards document the decision-making process for setting executive compensation. The 2016 Nonprofit Wage & Benefit Report gives you access to this important information.

The final 2016 Report will provide data specific to Vermont as well as valuable regional comparisons. The data will include: wage and benefit statistics, including health care coverage, retirement benefits, and comparative salary data by county and organizational size.

2016 Compensation Report will be Released this Fall

The Report will be published in the Fall of 2016, and will include Vermont-specific data as well as regional comparisons. All participating nonprofits and underwriters will receive a FREE copy of the final Report. The Report will be available for purchase for $250 for Vermont nonprofits and free for those who do not participate.
