Classy.Org Shares 10-Week Social Media Plan

Leading up to a special occasion, your event marketing strategy should include a social media plan that engages existing attendees, acquires new ones, and encourages those unable to attend to follow along and join the excitement.

In our own experience planning the Collaborative + Classy Awards, we went back to the drawing board to reimagine the way we accomplished these goals and how attendees could experience the large event. Drawing upon the social media strategies of stellar events we admire (think Skoll World Forum, SXSW, and Dreamforce) and our own past experiences, we devoted ample time to planning and crafted the following 10-week social media plan for events.

Whether you are putting on your annual fundraising gala, hosting a charity run/walk race, or planning a conference, this day-by-day checklist will keep your social media plan on track and engage your audience leading up the big event.
