Small and Inspiring Grants Program at the Vermont Community Foundation Seeks To Make a Grant in Every Vermont Town

The Small & Inspiring grants program at Vermont Community Foundation is seeking applications from organizations across the state. Since the program began in 2012, grants totaling more than $730,000 have been awarded to projects serving 94% of Vermont’s 251 towns.

Grants from this program help connect people to their neighbors, their land, and their history in ways that strengthen community and build trust among its members. All eligible organizations are welcome to apply, and the Community Foundation hopes to achieve its goal of awarding a small grant that can make a big difference in every Vermont town. Nonprofits, public agencies, and municipal groups that serve or benefit the 16 towns listed here — places where the Foundation has not yet made a Small and Inspiring grant — are especially encouraged to apply:

  • Coventry
  • East Haven
  • Eden
  • Ferdinand
  • Glastenbury
  • Hubbardton
  • Kirby
  • Lewis
  • Lunenburg
  • Mount Tabor
  • Searsburg
  • Somerset
  • Sudbury
  • Vershire
  • Victory
  • West Haven
