Thank you to Vermont Commission on Women for sharing info for this event with us:
Equal Pay Day’s date symbolizes how far into the year women must work to earn what men earned in the previous year due to the gender wage gap.
This Equal Pay Day press conference will address the gender wage gap, and will also unveil the new report, Vermont Women in Leadership fromChange The Story VT (CTS), an initiative fueled by the The Vermont Women’s Fund, Vermont Commission on Women, and Vermont Works for Women. CTS is committed to fast-tracking women’s economic status in our state. This report presents new data on the participation of women in various leadership roles, including federal, state and municipal government, Abenaki Nations, academia, law enforcement, and the corporate and non-profit sectors.
