Stern Center Staff Presents at International IDA Conference

WILLISTON, VT

The Stern Center for Language and Learning’s President, Dr.
Blanche Podhajski, and Program Manager for Evaluations, Dr. Melissa Farrall, joined a
select group of presenters at the 2017 Reading, Literacy & Learning Annual IDA Conference in
Atlanta, Georgia on November 8-11, 2017.

Hosted by the International Dyslexia Association, this
premier professional development conference focused on dyslexia research and instructional
interventions convened experts from around the world to illuminate the most current
information in the field for some 2,000 attendees. Podhajski’s presentation was entitled
“Structured Literacy in Preschool: Early Hope for Struggling Readers” and Farrall’s topic was
“Assessing Literacy Comprehension in a Comprehensive Reading Evaluation; The Heart of the
Matter.”
