For Immediate Release
The United Way of Windham County (UWWC) is creating HOPE in Windham County by investing in health, opportunity, prosperity, and education initiatives.
UWWC’s annual Community Impact Grant priorities align with the 14 community outcomes related to these areas, which can be found online at www.unitedwaywindham.org. All nonprofit organizations with programs related to these priorities that serve Windham County are invited to apply for a Community Impact Grant. Applicants providing Basic Needs may apply for up to $2,500 and programs aligning to the 12 additional outcomes may apply for up to $10,000. The funding of successful applications will begin on July 1, 2018.
To help Windham County nonprofits learn about its target community outcomes, new online grant application system, and the application review process, UWWC will be holding Grant Seeker Forums:
- February 7, 2018 from 12pm – 1:30pm at the United Way office at 1 Holstein Place in Brattleboro.
- February 12, 2018 from 3:30pm – 5pm at the United Way office at 1 Holstein Place in Brattleboro.
- February 15, 2018 from 12pm – 1:30pm at Parks Place, 44 School Street, Bellows Falls.
Attendance at one of these sessions is required for any organization serving Windham County who is not currently funded and wishes to apply. Light refreshments will be provided and participants are welcome to bring their lunch to the noon sessions.
The next Community Impact grant deadline is March 15, 2018 and complete eligibility information and a grant timeline can be found on the UWWC’s website at www.unitedwaywindham.org.
The community impact process of identifying community needs, investing resources and evaluating United Way’s impact is ongoing and will continue to involve individuals and organizations serving Windham County.
